Storage Cudham Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Storage Cudham to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. Storage Cudham is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly, and we recognise our responsibility to identify, prevent, and address any risks of modern slavery connected to our activities.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Storage Cudham has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This includes forced labour, bonded labour, involuntary prison labour, child labour that is exploitative or illegal, and any form of servitude or trafficking. We expect the same clear and uncompromising stance from all those with whom we do business.
Our zero-tolerance policy is reflected in our internal procedures, our supplier and contractor requirements, and the standards we set for all workers who support our operations. Any suspected breach of this policy will be investigated promptly and may result in termination of contracts, removal from approved supplier lists, or other appropriate corrective and remedial action.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Storage Cudham provides storage and related services. Our supply chains include providers of facilities management, cleaning, maintenance, security, office supplies, equipment, and professional services. We seek to work with reputable partners who can demonstrate compliance with all relevant labour, employment, and human rights legislation.
We acknowledge that modern slavery risks may exist at multiple tiers of the supply chain, particularly where goods or services originate from higher-risk sectors or regions. We are committed to improving transparency and working collaboratively with suppliers to reduce these risks.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We are strengthening our supplier due diligence processes to reduce the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain. Storage Cudham aims to engage only with suppliers who can demonstrate that they operate in accordance with our ethical standards and applicable law.
As part of our approach, we may carry out supplier audits and assessments that can include document reviews, site visits where appropriate, and requests for evidence of labour and human rights practices. We may ask suppliers to confirm that they prohibit modern slavery, maintain fair working conditions, and monitor their own supply chains for compliance.
If a supplier is unable or unwilling to meet our requirements or to address identified concerns, we may reconsider or end our relationship with that supplier, subject to contractual commitments and applicable law.
Training and Awareness
Storage Cudham aims to build awareness of modern slavery risks among relevant employees, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and facilities operations. Training and guidance focus on recognising indicators of modern slavery, handling concerns sensitively, and following the correct reporting steps.
We also encourage managers to foster a culture where ethical behaviour is expected and where concerns can be raised without fear of detrimental treatment.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We are committed to providing clear channels through which concerns about modern slavery can be reported. Employees, contractors, and others working on our behalf are encouraged to raise any concerns about suspected modern slavery in our business or supply chain as soon as possible.
Concerns can be raised internally through established reporting routes or directly with senior management. Reports will be treated seriously, handled confidentially so far as is reasonably practicable, and investigated promptly. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Storage Cudham recognises that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility requiring continuous improvement. We are committed to regularly reviewing our policies, risk assessments, and due diligence activities so that they remain effective and proportionate to our business.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, best practice guidance, and the evolving risk landscape. The review will consider feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders, as well as lessons learned from any incidents or investigations.
This statement has been approved by the management of Storage Cudham and represents our commitment to uphold human rights and prevent modern slavery in all aspects of our business.
